Join us in raising awareness and supporting the importance of early detection throughout the month.Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening InformationDuring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Houston Methodist and LaCenterra are teaming up to promote the importance of getting screened for breast cancer, one of the most common cancers found in women. Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center recommends that women over the age of 40 schedule an annual mammogram — especially those who have a close family member with a history of breast or ovarian cancer.Your doctor can determine your risk for breast cancer and help you decide when and how often to get a mammogram.
